Modernisation of the Turmberg cable car

In addition to its daily operations, VBK is committed to sustainable transport concepts, investing in modern vehicle technologies and thus improving Karlsruhe's infrastructure.

This also includes the Durlach Turmbergbahn, which will be modernised and put back into operation completely barrier-free in the coming months.

The aim of the remodelling is to:

- Accessibility: Better accessibility for all passengers.

- Connection: Direct transfer to trains and buses at the Durlach Turmberg terminus.

- Climate-friendly mobility: less car traffic.

- Integration into the KVV tariff: no more additional tickets required.

- Customised operating times: More attractive for all users.
